Rado Captures the Prize in Burris Circle Tour Racing Action The Burris Circle
Tour Sr. Sprints lived up to the expectations as the Sr. Sportsman and
Sr Lite drivers rose to the challenge and made the last laps of the
day’s featured event one to remember. Dave Terrafino, the fast
qualifier in the Sr. Sportsman class, jumped out in front with Dan Rado
and used Rado as a drafting partner for the first 23 laps of the 25-lap
race. Terrafino made the move to take the lead as he got the white flag.
As the karts rounded the final turns, Rado darted inside and held the
line to win by a nose. Rado also turned the fastest lap of the race
at 20.339. Jacob Humphrey won the Sr. F200 feature following his 4th place finish on Saturday night in the 50-lap Super Late Model feature at Lake Geneva Raceway. Eric Freiberg won the 2-cycle Sr. Sportsman feature after taking a week off. Trevor Rasibeck finished in second and maintains a solid lead over rookie driver Brad Plunket in the class points standings. The Jr. 2 class is developing into a real battlefield. Today, Corey Talaska and Andy Jones formed a pair and pulled away from Alex Stumpf. Jones waited until the last corner to make the pass, then used slower traffic to shut down the preferred inside line for Talaska. Alex Stumpf finished in the third spot. Aaron Katzenberg won the Jr. 3 Lite by a large margin. Ben Stumpf and Tyler Peterson battled to a side-by-side finish for second and third respectively with Tommy Jones a mere 2/100ths of a second behind to take a strong 4th place finish. Elliott Pritchett, Brennan Frisby and Joshua James were tops in the Kid Kart class this week. Cody Lipstreuer and Christian Janssen have moved into the lead pack and are improving weekly. Corey Domenick and
Ross Kenseth rubbed coming around the last corner in the Champ F200
Jr. 3 class. Ross did a great job of saving the kart, straightening
out his line and shoving his foot to the floor to win by 2/100ths of
a second. Aaron Phillips, Makenzie Piller and Dylan Barbosa all racked
up another feature win in the Sr. Champ Karts, Champ F200 Jr. 1 and
Jr. Sportsman Champ.
